Keira Knightley

Knightley was born in London as a child that included actors Will Knightley & Sharman Macdonald aged six, began her career in television commercials and movies. She was in 1999 when she portrayed Sabe on Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. After gaining international fame through the fantasy TV series Pirates of the Caribbean in 2003 in the role of Elizabeth Swann (a swashbuckling footballer) it was possible for her to get her first role in the sports movie Bend It Like Beckham in where she played a tomboy. In 2003, she appeared in the romance comedy Love Actually and was called promising teen. Knightley won an Academy Award nod for Best Actress in 2005 for portraying Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine of the romantic historical novel Pride & Prejudice. As well as Atonement as a character, she acted in the role of Georgiana Cavendish, the tastemaker on The Duchess and Anna Karenina's main socialite. Her involvement in modern dramas in Begin Again (2013), playing an aspirant musician as a musician in Begin Again (2013) and the physician on Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014). Knightley returned to historical dramas, playing Joan Clarke, in The Imitation Game, which resulted in the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
