Candice's first career was in singing before she got into acting. Her first album was released, 'It's Always The Uninvolved in the United States', in 2009. It features twelve tracks, which she composed. She also worked to further her acting career by guest-starring on shows such as How I Met Your Mother. While she was able to sustain a stable career, her big break was not until The Vampire Diaries. It was the first show to make her a household name. Candice's performance was lauded for her performance. She reprised the role throughout the entire eight-season run of 171 episodes. She played her character on the spin-off show The Originals and in 2021, Legacies.
